Just curious if anyone has tried lapping or resharpening the carbide inserts? Mike
I just remembered that I once ground an insert to make a 60dgr single point threading tool and it worked quite well.

I've done an AK insert on my Accu-finish grinder. It was my last insert and I had to finish a project but it was dull so I tried it and it cut better than new. All it took was a multi-hundred dollar grinder to sharpen a $20.00 insert ... hobby guy economics!

I picked up one of these awhile back and keep it in the shop for inspection. The main downside is taking the time to put it on the phone - for some reason the only spare (old) phone I've got also has a dead camera. Works great though.

I've got to stop coming to this forum. Folks are always posting new toys and then I want one. Last month is was a mini split ac unit. Before that a band saw mill. I love tools and gadgets and I do a lot of magnification work with one of those magnifiers that are on a desk mount arm with the light in it... soldering, watches electronics etc. These digital microscopes look pretty cool. Found the same one shooter listed (op) for even a little less. Gotta love prime and getting your impulse buys the next day so you don't even have time to dwell on it and cancel the order. I think this is something that will really come in handy though and of course something everyone really really needs.

The $1 inserts are quite likely the rejects, while the $5-20 ones make it into brand name packaging.

The light interference is the effect of the varying depth of the individual grooves and the multiple frequencies of light and the interactions between them. Need Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory to explain it at length!

Hey Shooter,

Is there any indication of megapixel count on the camera?
I did NOT see it in the listing.

It did say:
Image resolution: 1280x720,4032x3024

The first one (1280x720) gives about 1 megapixel, but the second one (4032x3024) gives 12 megapixel.

Alternately, whats the range of file sizes produced, and file type?

Thanks
-brino
