Metal lathe enterprise 1550 doesn't start

I know you got it fixed but for future refence or someone with a similar issue. Make sure that the lever that engages the spindle motion is in neutral position. I chased this one day on mine when power went out while I was running. Motor wont run until lever is returned to center position
