Hello everyone, This is my first post here, thanks for having me. I am in need of a owners/operator manual for my " new to me " maximat V13. I of course will pay any coping, postage incured. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks , Tom ( The Old Guy ) brown7668@gmail.com

Tom

The manuals for the Maximat V13 are in the downloads section under Emco Maier Lathes.

The download sections opens up after you have made a few posts, something like 20.

You can also send me a PM with your email and I can forward them directly to you.

I have a maximat v13 sure could use a (English) manual. Thx to all I advance. BRB. OKC

Thank you so very much! I printed the files I now have both manuals, very very handy to have. I do however have a question on the gearhead per the manual it says its capacity is 20. But it doesn’t say if it’s 20 ounces, 20 quarts Or anything. Can somebody tell me the capacity of the gearhead please? Again thanks to everybody in advance BRB OKC

Operator's manual says 2l, or 2 liters, for the headstock and 7/16 liters for the gearbox and carriage. Basically, you want the oil level half way up the sight glass when the lathe is running.

Thank you. What are you guys running for lubricant in the gearbox, headstock, and carriage?

Emco calls for Mobil DTE Oil, Light. A number of oils fall in this class, including Mobil DTE 25 and 32. I run DTE 25 but you can also run 32d without a problem.

Thank you so very much Mikey! You have been a wealth of knowledge. I’ve uploaded a photograph of a gear that is on an assembly that is covering the drain plug. My question is can I us a puller Without ruining something?
