I have no formal training at all so please pardon me if this sounds dumb but, how does moving the saddle affect the thickness? I can see how moving the cross slide would. Anyone care to explain?
Other than to establish the baffle thickness I don't think it would. The cylinder thickness would I believe be controlled by the cross slide (compound?). In thinking about this set up it seems some pretty tricky measurements would have to be made to make the baffle a uniform thickness.
