Here are a series of pictures of the (I believe 1948) Manley 922 hydraulic press I picked up on FB Marketplace. I had been looking for one of these for a long time and when this one presented itself, I had to grab it. There were many issues with the press; broken table lift handle, broken pump handle segment, bent table sections, damaged pump piston/bore and more. The bore was drilled and reamed to 0.580” and a 0.5781” O1 tool steel rod welded to a newly machined O1 knuckle. The replacement pump handle section was made from 0.50” plate and the toothed handle index part from 2.0” round. New handle is McMaster PN 6544N13 which was heated and bent to replicate the original handle geometry. Gage was relocated from stock position à back and left. Additional parts include new handle ball, handle adjustment big wingnut and table support pins. Thanks for looking.100.JPG101.JPG103.JPG104.JPG105.JPG106.JPG107.JPG108.JPG110.JPG111.JPG112.JPG113.JPG114.JPG115.JPG116.JPG117.JPG119.JPG120.JPG121.JPG122.JPG

Have the same press. Love it. Interestingly the angle iron stretchers on mine were bent too, how?

Greg

The stretchers on my antique 1912 Manley 22tn screw press are all bowed too. I can only think something was set directly on them with the table off. Mine was so tortured and abused one can only guess what stupid dangerous things they were up to.

Well done. That's a lot of work on some of those small pieces. Mike
