Making spaced threads to fix in timber.

Okay, that's something I can see making on your lathe. How many do you need?

I need 4 of them.

1) I'm thinking now i workout what angle thread I need ( thinking somewhere between 25-45 degrees maybe) - will check what other lag bolts use though

2) once i know the above, grind a hss tool to suit the root width.

3) take the angular approach method when cutting the threads (hopefully not too chattery with the thick tool in 4140) until i am down do the minor diam of about 35mm

so that would leave the 5 pitch threads about 2.5mm in height. does all that seem like a go?
