Made a firewood round mover today.

Bought a few bits and bobs and threw this together today. I know the skidding tongs say explicitly not to lift but I’m going to try just living life a little dangerously. At least until it tries to kill me. I think I could skid from the cutting area to the stack but it’s really meant for lifting the big ones on to the splitter(the manageable big ones, not the gigantic ones). My splitter can lift vertically but it’s a pain to split like that. I’ll still use the vertical for the really big ones.

Also I think I’ll make some block out pieces for the hydraulics to increase the safety some since it will be overhead.

Also also, I tested floppyness of this configuration by bouncing on the I beam. I can make the tractor twist a bit. You don’t see it even move with a 80lb round.
Cool!
Dig the Ford!
If I had to guess it's either a 3400 or a 4410 "Woods Tractor". Fun getting to the distributer on that gasser with the loader frame in the way eh:)
I just bought a 1983 545. Have to sell my 3000 and 4200 to afford it.

Yep it’s a 3400. It kind of sucks getting to anything on the side of the engine with the loader! But yes you have to fiddle the cap out for sure.
