I am sorry to point this out but shouldn't you really be using a servo on the front wheels for remote control steering?

So, how did the move turn out?

the move was a piece of cake, i din't even have a need for the skates to move the Samson 2040
they are , however, under my Monarch 10EE as we speak
the lathe is easily moved my a moderate push!
