Looking for a Mill

Had an X3, gave it to a brother at church.
Considered it had soft metal in the bearing column tube.
As received, the mill motor was only mounted with 2 bolts, which
I corrected. Still an okay mill, better than a round column mill.

The round column mill along with x3 are long gone.

3 years now using the Enco square column mill, Grizzly has a similar model,
they both use the same bearings in the column. I am currently replacing
those bearings. Might have abused it with some heavy cutting.

Look at the BF20"s I have a G0704 Grizzly's version and it is the best bang for the buck it that size mill

I just bought my first CNC mill, but it has the capability to do manual mode. :) I found it on Craigs List but it was not cheap. I had been looking for quite a long time and this one was in good shape and had come out of a lab that was working on an implant. My only regrets is that I can not use Mach3 with it as that seems to be where everyone is going. As for making parts and getting into CNC and Machining which I have never done before, I was able to learn quickly and am able to program the machine for basic operations. It has a Acu-Rite MillPwr 3 III control that is easy to learn. I have been able to load .dxf files from AutoCad, conver .stl files to g-code and mill a few parts with not too much trouble.
