I bought a 14” D1-6 face plate with a 3” center hole on eBay for $125 plus tax & shipping (see photos).
I will be very interested to see how I do getting an MT4 or MT6 dead center in there. The spindle in my lathe is MT6, but I have an “MT6 to MT4” reducing sleeve.
14” is larger than I wanted (this is for a 16” swing lathe), but this one looked clean and I think it was a good deal.
