what i was going to do since my old dial od is 3/4 and the new dial id is 3/4 i was going to press the new dial on the old dial if its a tad tight and then install a set screw or i will make a new bushing to fit the new dial) mac
That's basically what I did on my Atlas lathe. Now I have a direct reading dial. Move it .001" and you take off .001".
You can barely see it but there's a thumb screw in the lower left of the picture that you can loosen to rotate the dial.
