Lathe Chuck Storage

I have large screws and lags in the legs of the stand and I hang them there.

I'm getting ready to make some small baltic birch plywood boxes for some chucks. Individual boxes, has kind of become my go to for things i don't want to rust, i can throw accessories in the box, plus a desiccant pack.

Ideally, on a cart just about the same height as the ways of the lathe, to minimize the lift and the distance to the plywood board on the ways. The reality is that they are kept mostly down low so I can do more damage to my back. The cart itself is not the problem, a place to park a cart is the current problem...

For the Clausing, on a shelf above and behind the lathe. Hman built a lazy susan and I might steal his idea for the Enco in the cabinet under the lathe.

Lack of storage space is a side effect of TAD (tool acquisition disorder), i know, I'm also afflicted with this horrible problem. :D
Plenty of TAD here, but my shop in a 3 car garage also needs to serve to hold a washer and dryer, a freezer, water heater, all the lawn and landscape stuff, five decades of 'treasures' storage, and, oh yes, I still want to get one car in there. I would really like to move to where I could have a dedicated shop, with better lighting and climate control, but there are a bunch of hurdles to completing that transition as well.

I store all mine in built-in oak cabinetry. I re-enforced the oak shelf with a 1 1/4" angle iron to prevent shelf sag. I like mine at shoulder height so I don't have to stoop down or bend my aching back to shuffle the heavy stuff around.
