How do you store your extra lathe chuck(s) when not in use?

on their back so they dont role off the shelf :)

Mines threaded though , might be an issue if you have studs sticking out the back I guess.

I bought a rolling 5 drawer metal toolbox to put all the lathe tooling I have in [my dad had all the bits in a variety of wood boxes, fishing tackle box, small metal toolbox, swarf pan under the lathe, and on/buried on any flat surface in the immediate vicinity of the lathe].

The 4-jaw chuck, lamppost holder [which I doubt I'll ever use, but you never know], the two lathe guides/supports are in the bottom drawer. But once I added the faceplate to the drawer, the whole thing started tipping over on me, just managed to keep the toolbox mostly upright and have not too much stuff roll off the top before getting the faceplate back out. Now it rests off to the side of the lathe.

I cobbled up a "lazy susan" for the lower shelf of my lathe stand. Near the front, you can see one of the 4 small casters I used to support the plate from underneath. Rotation lets me get to the chuck I want without having to reach in too far. Might work for you, unless you have heavy chucks. This is on my 9x20 lathe.

All chucks and faceplates are stored in the base of the lathe.
may have to do something else with advancing years if I don't want to fish them out of the base stooped over.

Tailstock end of the bed, unless I need the whole bed then they go on the floor.
