it's sitting with head off.
so i think 'i'll pour enough oil on top of piston
for it to leak down and oil rings and cylinder wall'
that was 3 days ago.
i looked today AGAIN.
oil isn't draining down much!
oil is either 30wt or 5-30.

1 i am thinking about changing the 'formula'

instead of 30 weight my first thought is diesel

2 ok.

you head west on the big interstate.

cross the river.mississippi.

i thought of it!

St. Charles

we don't have those kind of names in California

i'm doing it to keep rings from getting stuck to cylinder wall.

also have 3 B & S motors i need to run to keep them oiled.

i think i will just start them and skip putting anything

through spark plug hole first.

Briggs's have only been sitting about a year.

HMer's

30 wt oil seems to have soaked past rings

i would say it was 2 weeks ago i poured that on top of piston

it was a generous 1/4" almost 3/8" of oil on top of piston when i poured it on
