Knurling on an Emco Compact 5 Question

I do a lot of knurling in stainless steel.
I dont bother calculating diameters just apply pressure till it looks right.
To aid in this I built a camjack knurler https://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/camjack-knurler.3533/#post-508494
It works brilliantly and I made it without a mill, just drill, angle grinder and files.
With the tough stainless I knurl and things not centered exactly it can pull the tool post around but a piece of brown paper between the holder and base stops this dead.
