Just Bought An Emco Compact 8

I second speedymetals.com. Had good luck with them and they always ship quickly.

As for material, hopefully someone with real knowledge will chime in, my first thought would be stressproof

Thanks guys, I just finished my collet chuck! 4140 was my material of choice. The nut threads on smoothly with very little play and I'm getting only about 0.0005" runout, I'm pretty pleased.
