Very nice machine. What made you choose this model over let's say an Ellis 1600 , which is close price wise ?
As well, I notice it's only available as a 3ph motor.
Sorry for the old thread revival , but I'm looking very seriously at the Jet J-9225 bandsaw myself - and I'm wondering how you like yours after having it for a year.
There's not a ton of information out there on these saws - so it's nice to see somebody put some real info up there who actually has one.
How is the accuracy on this saw? I've read a lot about how the Italian made saws of this style can do things like cut .020 discs out of a piece of bar stock all day long - what's our opinion of the Jet now that you've had it for a while?
I just saw this thread.
I am building two shop utility roll around carts with square steel tubing.
I found a great deal on some "scrap" 2" tubing at my local metal supply. In the yard they have great scrap. There was this wired bundle of this stock that had a 45 degree cut off one end. These pieces were just short of 7'.
I picked up 8 for less than $50.
Anyway, your new saw would be great for the precise angled cuts I need to make.
I hope you are enjoying it.
