So that's pretty much it -- have confirmed that the chuck's concentricity is just better than .001" with everything clean, and its spindle-side taper as well as my spindle nose are in good enough condition that I get perfect repeatability every time I unmount and remount it (regardless of how I time it with the 3 different camlock positions available)
Final glam shot of the whole score, I'll be putting the D1-6 chuck and one of the sets of collets on ebay since I don't need 3 sets nor a chuck for a lathe spindle I don't own. OTOH some day maybe I would have a larger lathe.... so we'll see maybe I'll just keep it for now if it doesn't fetch a compelling price
