It was a dream until it became a nightmare

update i found a use set of Y drive motor housing and ordered them, need to find a used Y ball screw (or pay $1K for a reconditioned one), I'm lucky it was not the X axis those are 1.6k rebuilt. now i find that the spindle is a kwik switch 200 which is better than an R8 but having no holders and new ones are expensive, found some used for around $50 each so not the end of the world, but if anyone has a horde of KS 200 holders that they want to get rid of i think we can come to an agreement about taking them off your hands (just to clear up your space mind you). Same applies to the spanner wrench.

BTW I make light of things but i do appreciate the support.

I found some BP stuff finally . Not sure if you could use it . :dunno:

turns out the a er40 single point spanner wrench works perfect for the kwik switch 200 nut. a lot cheaper that the $75 for one from the manufacturer. I'm liking the KS 200 it is easy to use and a lot better than the R8 (even with a power drawbar). been finding a lot of holders on ebay for ~~ $40 so just a little more expensive that chinese knock off R8s, just having a little more trouble with shell mill holder and saw arbor.
I thought i was in trouble for a wile because i could not get the nut to spin until it finally occurred to me that it was locked in the open position and i just needed to release it.

Try H and W Machine (new aftermarket parts) and Lost Creek Machine (used parts). Both great to deal with. Save some money.

I get some mill parts off Amazon and Ebay. They aren't always sure what they fit, but if you know your parts and can ask some questions you can get some deals.

that is one good thing about a bridgeport mill, parts all over the place, but the EZtrak uses some special parts that are not as common, i.e. expensive.
