Here are 4 examples of what I had to deal with on the PM1340GT lathe. Supposedly a "precision" piece of equipment.
1. Frozen headstock drain plug. Required use of an impact wrench to loosen.
2. Misaligned change gears (not fully overlapping). Required making new spacer bushings to correctly align gears to achieve full overlap.
3. Compound would not tighten at 30/29 degree setting for threading due to location of lock nut installation hole being located precisely at the 30 degree compound position. Required making a complicated custom lock nut.
4. Headstock not aligned properly. Living with this problem for now.
