How would you tighten these threads?

Deformity would be short term as the material would just wear.

Best option is to add o ring someplace.

An old method of accomplishing the same task was used with fountain pen repair, years ago: wrap waxed thread into the screw threads. It both grips and holds. Dental floss is a modern equivalent, but it's not waxed per se and won't last as long. Nice pen, by the way!
I also much like the o-ring approach.
