How To Hold Thin Flat Stock?

Larry,

That 7" chunk of aluminum is worth a few dollars, ask me how I know... I went and got a 4" long section of 6" and it was $50. I'm not sure what I'll do with the extra.

Here is the part I was working on. I got the radius finished and put the rest of the jokes in it so I could dry fit it together. I still need to make an adapter that goes on the motor shaft and fits inside the top sprocket and also extends into the front top bearing. This used to be a belt reduction drive for a glow motor on an RC airplane. My friend wanted to run an electric motor instead of gas and just wanted to try it to see how it worked. My RC airplane friends have figured out where the friendliest local machinist lives...:)

As was mentioned a few posts back, a roll of carpet tape is a very handy piece of "tooling" !
