How to clean up a new mill

Put some mineral spirits in a spray bottle set to mist. That along with a tooth brush and some paper towels did the trick.
 
Don't forget the bucket of elbow grease. WD40, mineral spirits, simple green all work very well- but those products don't DO the job, your sweat does. No substitute for blood and sweat here, just good old effort. That's why everyone oohs and aahs over a super clean machine, it represents work!
