I have a drawer full of accessory fittings. I very rarely find what I need and now I don’t even look, just make whatever it takes…they are usually simple parts.

I got frustrated early on with the different snugs for the different height gauges, mag bases, DTI, TI‘s etc. everything had something that was off. Either different diameter or no dovetail or something. So I went in search of as many snugs in one lot I could find and it just so happened to be in a lot with an old Starrett height gauge and old Best Test TI. And even with that drawer full of stuff I still find combos that don‘t work and have to mod or make something. It’s gotten to where I leave it attached to my DTI‘s especially as those type of lug backs always seem to be a stumper.
