Hopefully those sparks come from the grinding wheel and not from the motor end. Things are really coming together. Great project.

Motor runs very well. Quiet and RPMs are spot on.

We should see things spinning and making sparks soon!!

I think we are looking at two or three more weeks.

All that has to do with electrics is ready to mount when the time comes.

Hey Bill. What type of belt will you be using? I'm gonna be working on a tool post grinder shortly and I'm looking for something that won't transmit vibration into the grinding wheel. I was thinking that the round polyurethane belt might be a good choice. What do you think?

I'm going to get some round ones made up. That black stuff at the Hardware Store that the heat together. Looks like a big "O-Ring" when it's done.

Yup. OK good, we're on the same page. :)) I wasn't sure if that was going to be the best thing to use, but you confirmed it. Thanks

Something is the wrong color here!

I think the motor would look great painted the same color as the box.

I've been checking in but haven't said much because everything been okay until now!

Oh, just a suggestion.

Tomorrow Dan. The base parts. will be the same color also. The work head will be what it is. Wait a gosh darn minute here. We can't say it will be done tomorrow, it will never get done. Tomorrow never ever gets here. When I wake up it's not tomorrow, it's today. Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. So today we'll get it done Dan.

It's green, it's green. It will darken up as it dries Today will be an odds and ends day. I will tie up all the loose ends and start the wheel head.
