HobbyMetalKits - Legit?

Is Hobby Metal Kits a legitimate supplier? I ordered from them for the first time a few weeks ago and my package never arrived (tracking said it was delivered, but I was here all day and the postal carrier did not come by). I contacted hobbymetalkits dot com about the problem and haven't heard anything back after several email messages.

I tried them out after reading a few posts here. I'm starting to wonder if I made a mistake? Just wondering if I should wait a little bit or go ahead and contest the charges with my credit card company.

I've ordered from them, I've had no issues but I do think it is a small operation so might be slow to respond. It sounds like a shipper issue is the main problem.

who was the carrier delivering?
They are the problem, not HobbyMetal Kits. if they didn't deliver, it went to the wrong address, or the carrier tossed it and said it was delivered.
Hobby Metals probably insured it, and I am sure just needs to get the carrier to investigate.

It was the infamous US Postal Service. I know they are usually the worst, but the tracking history didn't seem right & had it going to another place in Wisconsin for a week then suddenly I got notification it was delivered here in Washington. It was shipped Priority but there's nothing I can do as a consumer according to the post office. I can file a complaint but the sender has to claim it lost and file for the insurance. Sucks. I'm Just kinda nervous it was mis-shipped and now I can't get ahold of the seller...

One of the problems with some shippers is that it goes out UPS then gets dropped at USPS for final delivery and more often than not goes to wrong address ! That’s been my experience many times in the past.
Just two days back this happened, the USPS said the shipment was put in my locker when delivered. Trouble is I don’t have a locker ! It must have been delivered to a dlferent address !
Today I contacted the shipper and requested they ship a replacement, which they agreed to do.

I've had more problems with FEDEX dropping things at the post office than anyone else. They're supposed to create a new tracking number when that they change shippers, but that rarely happens. I've had packages be in limbo for as much as a couple weeks then all of a sudden, a new USPS tracking number appears, and eventually the package is delivered.

If you can't get ahold of the seller then just file a claim with your CC company, you'll get refunded

did you pay with paypal? if you did, the label was written by their app.

I paid directly on the Hobby Metal Kits website with a cc. the only shipping options were USPS ground or USPS Priority.
It's a little frustrating to get no response. Maybe they are on vacation... or out to lunch. I'll try calling today.
