Hardinge BB4

Coming up for sale soon....

What a cool little machine! I really like these horizontal milling machines

it's time for me to really move this machine along to a new owner. I almost sold it last time i had it listed but the buyer backed out, I'm going to list it again but I'm going to try a new strategy this time. I'll sell it to anyone who responds here for what i've got into it ~$1200.

But, I'll list it for about twice that on eBay/Craigs/FB Marketplace.

My thought is this thing is pretty rare, super cool, and kinda a collectors item with the original electrics. For the right buyer it could be,

All thoughts and suggestions are welcome..

Kool machine!

I had a Pratt & Witney bench mill about that size with a 2 axis verticle head attachment. The major limitation iz the fixed distanse to the colum. I only uzed it a dozen timez befor getting my Van Norman.

Dang, shipping would be too much.
Last week I discovered that therez a big gap in the biz uv moving machinez around the country. If you want to move an entire factory or at least a big CNC machine, therez no shortaj uv outfits that will do it for a reazonable cost (relativ to the machine'z value).

If you want to get a vise or a chuck or other stuff under a hundred poundz or so, UPS, FedEx or USPS can do it.

Between thoze, you pretty much gotta do it yourself. I enquired about my Harding TFB toolroom lathe and nun uv the riggerz woud even quote a prise. A reseptionist at 1 uv thoze plasez gave me the number uv a guy hoo duz small jobz. He wants 3500$ to do it!

So I tried to sell it on Ebay insted. No luck, so I will haf to take it apart and drag the piesez into a moving truck, then reassemble it wenevr I get my shop set up agen.
