Merry Christmas, everyone. I'm alone this year while I wait for my wife to clear immigration, but I have been in touch all day with people I love.

Dinner was Caesar salad, super-cheesy potatoes au gratin, a rib roast, and creme brulee. Kind of a lot of cooking for one person and a parrot, but I thought it was worth it.
