Half-Bull Nose?

I'm still confused about the half bull nose. Can someone educate me?

Basically, if you can combine a Half Dead Center, with the standard Bull Nose Live Center... I was (in theory) planning to get a facing tool into the most unorthodox locations...

I'm still confused. The half dead center would allow you to introduce a tool from the tailstock end but how would a rotating half center help in any way?

Looks like a candidate to consider a shrink mandrel: very simple, very cheap and you have all the tools to make it. It looks like you material is a stainless? Shrink mandrels work best if the coefficient of expansion of the two materials are a good bit different from each other.

It wouldn't, unless you have the tool-bit rotate along with the live center.

The BULL NOSE was going to be a DEAD CENTER... Makes a little more sense now? :)

Nope. Just some cheap Aluminium. (If you can call it cheap). I did polish it up a little, so looks can be deceiving :)

I would like to work with 304 or 316L SS of course sometime... I just need to work out some methods of attack here first...

Of course-thank you! I missed that part.
