The clapper box and that assembly is in pretty bad shape. The side of it is cracked, the “spacer” for that lead screw is broken and someone went ham on the pivot bolt with a punch. Luckily all the gear teeth are completely intact. This will add a couple weeks onto the project.
I occasionally watch Topper Machine on you tube. He has a large planner set up with a BP head on it. Seems to be a pretty handy machine to have. Looks like you have your work cut out for you Braeden. Will you try and repair the broken pieces or make new from scratch? Mike
I will braze the clapper box, remake the destroyed bolt and will try to build up the other casting since the flats are timed with the threads and I don’t want to have to remake that.
