Gorilla super glue

Yes---Gorilla Super Glue is good stuff. We use many types of glue around here for everything from Jewerly to wood and the Gorilla super glue works better on metal than anything else I have found.

just google "rubber cyanoacrylate glue " and you'll find that there are many brands of "rubber toughened super glue". They all seem to have appeared about the same time. It's as if the manufacturer launched the sales and marketing guys on the various glue people.

http://mercuryadhesives.com/MercuryFAQ.htm is a FAQ from allegedly the only actual manufacturer of CA in the USA. Lots of marketing from them also, but the information is seemingly true though biased. I just founf the FAQ while trying to find out exactly how many actual manufacturers there are. Information that seems hard to nail down.

I know of at least 3 different companies in the USA that make Super Glue----------- plus the question was does it work on metal. Rubber CA would be for a different app.

Dalee you are 100% correct--- I use 3 different types of Super Glue ---each one made for a different job. Plus use wallyworld 2 part Epoxy for a number of other jobs.

Thats pretty good with a static load on it.I wonder what it would do with shock load ( hit it with a big hammer) ? I think I would just weld it.:)
