RJ, Thank you for the information. I agree the lathe is to close to the chip pan. I will have to look for some steel now.
I also am not happy with the motor access but plan on getting a 3 phase motor and making a different mounting system. I have the G0750 so it is a little bit different where the base bolts through the chip pan.
