Generator question

If I was in the market for one now I would buy a dual-fuel one and run it off propane. The tanks are easy to store in the shed and won't go bad over time like gas will. To the best of my knowledge anyway

I e been told it is bad to run a generator without a load on it. Does anyone know if this is true. When I run mine yearly to make sure all is working good I always run a tool to put a load on the gen. I also do as bill said run the carb dry before storing and haven’t had problems in years.
As for the generator in question it’s a toss up. I would run it check oil to see if it’s been maintained and possible run and put a large load on it to see if it can handle it. Other than that durability wouldn’t be know till she blows. Knock offs take short cuts that decrease durability. How much no one knows good luck.

Well guys. The verdict is in. It is a hard no on this particular gennie. When I contacted the owner, he said stuff that gave me the answer. He said " No he doesn't have a manual or service record,he buys and sells generators...bla bla bla". So this is probably second second hand. But thank you all for your input.
