Fixture plate what size screws?

On my fixture plate I used the same thread as my existing clamping kits which were 3/8 x 16.

The 1/4-20 holes in the SMW plate are countersunk for use with their Fixturing Pins for alignment (two of these pins are at the bottom of the photo above), which I think are what @GeneT45 was referring to.
No, what I'm referring to is e.g. 3/8"-16 threads use a 5/16" tap drill, so the hole may be used for a 3/8-16 fastener (threaded) or a 5/16 dowel pin without interspersing threaded holes and pin holes. Doesn't look like that synergy exists any smaller than that in Standard sizes, but it might in metric (I didn't check).

If you want smaller. You could go 10-32 ream 5/32 .156 vs the .159 call out. That would be a good size for a small tooling plate.

Cutting oil is my blood.

Advantage to 10-32 is that is what Sherline uses, opening up the large range of Sherline mill fixture tooling.
