First Things for a Mill?

The hammer is a solid brass head, store bought. The angle plate is 12" wide, 9" high, and 8"base depth. The 8" diameter rotary table is a little bit too big for the plate.
 
Note the magnetic back dial indicator can be used on the knee, Z axis or carefully on the cross slide, Y axis between the table and vertical slide. It can get squished easily there, so do'nt forget its there. I have a dro for the X axis.
