Got her finished up this weekend. Kimber Ultra Carry with trigger work, dehorning, ball milled slide, grip ball texture, hi power cut slide, 11 degree crown and then two tone cerakote. The machinework on this one is purely decorative but it was still fun. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful work!!! That's your carry gun I assume?

I like it, great job with a nice personnel touch.

Thank you very much guys. This one is going to a very good friend, best man at my wedding and will be his carry piece.
Forgot to mention that the grips will be changed out for a higher quality set of thin grips, probably rosewood laminate.

Looks really cool, you did a great job! I'm working on the drawings for mine, going to engrave it, it's the same model as this one you've done.

Thanks Dwayne. I, and I'm sure everyone else, would love to see pics when it's done.

I'll try, I'm pretty forgetful, I'm working on the artwork now. Not sure when I'll start cutting on it, I did call Kimber the other day, Because looking at the frame, I thought it looked like there was a coating on it & thought the engraving may cause the coating to flake & didn't want to have to mess with that, anyway they advised me that there was no coating on the frame, strictly bead blasted, some I'm going to engrave the frame too. Yours really looks good! Thanks for posting.

My personal carry for over a decade was a Kimber Eclipse 4... like it.
Then I decided I wanted a double stack mag... so got a Springfield XD... both are in .45.
Springfield took a bit of getting used to, it is bulkier than the Kimber. Nice shooting though, and it just feels right in my hand.
