That is my thought also. The gullets appear wide and flat bottomed like acme. You really need to figure out how to take a better picture.

Well if that is the case, and they are not acme, you will either have to single point thread the nut or make a custom tap.

Have you tried the dealer to see if a replacement was available under warranty?
