Enco 10x54

yes I don't think they read the directions. mine was suppose to be tail gated. as in loaded right at the back doors. so they could reach in with the forklift and get it but it was loaded up front so they had to drag it with a chain to get it so they could reach it.

Mine was in the front of the trailer also. Glad I took some chains & tow straps.

The guy that loaned me a trailer ended up having a utility trailer with sides instead of a flat so I had to put it up on the sides.

Well after I got it off the truck & up on the top of the trailer it was a 3 mile trip at 20mph home. I got here & unwrapped it & found the damage. They broke my lube system. Then we started building scaffolding to get it off the trailer. We ran out of light for the night so I'll have to start again in the morning.

Got it off the trailer & slid close to where it is going for now. Still have to turn it some & level it. I also ordered a new clamp set & a VFD today.

I haven't taken many pictures but here are a few.

On the back of the truck.

It is big. I was off on guessing how much weight my angle would bear also. I had it turned with the short side bearing the load & it bent. I figured 3" of 3/16 would handle the load over a 6'starch but I was wrong. It made a perfect bend. Next time I'll turn it to the 4" side. Actually I was wishing I had H structure as I was rigging it.

Triple bolted screwed and glued 2x8 s would have took the load easily. Really nice mill you got there ,congrats they do carry some nice machines. Good luck with it . With great envy for one of my own.

Well my backhoe is down. I parked it a few years ago because it is a real piece of junk & not worth the money to repair. I thought it would do for this job but actually just got it in the way when it went down so I had to use my Geo Tracker to get them pulled around the best I could then put one of the HF garages over them where I could get them for now.

I think this might work for now. I hope to get them moved soon after the first of the year.

I got parts to fix the oiler from Enco & they paid me a acceptable amount to repair the shipping damage. I still have to do this but so far I'm happy with Enco.

Finally got around to fixing my oiler last week. Enco sent me a new one to replace it but I decided it would be easier to fix the old one then mod for the new one to work.

After I got it back together I found it didn't work. I'd already made a rubber gasket from an inter tube to replace the lid gasket that feel apart. I had to replace the junky paper gasket between the pickup tube & screen. I also had to remove the o-ring & replace it with a different size to get it to pump.

I also learned that switching from high to low switches the direction of the spindle.

I still have some body work to do to her & get her trammed. I guess I'll have to use my little mill to make me a tram gauge. I need to order some dial gauges but spending needs a little break ATM. I tried getting it trammed by running a dial test indicator up & down a shaft mounted in a collet but that only got it somewhat close but no where close enough.
