25.4 is 1000 inches did you mean .0254. I know machinist calc are diff from real world so just wondering

25.4 mm = 1.000 inch or the inverse 1 mm = 0.0394 inch
 
AARGH... I was thinking meters. so glad THOSE Math rules weren't rewritten.
