Do you use a Nortel ?

Looks like a venturi. You trade high pressure for volume. Several uses in the fire service. Foam eductors being 1. The one that impressed the heck out of me when I used it for the first time was the venturi to start the siphon between 2 porta tanks through hard suction hose. You could take a 1-3/4" hose running at 160psi and hook it up to a 6" hard suction line drape it from a full tank into an empty tank and move half of the volume of the full tank to the empty tank 1,200 gallons in about 6 seconds. Turns high pressure/low volume into low pressure/high volume.

Air behaves as a fluid so it could work very well.

I am sure it could have a use in the home shop, just not sure what that use would be exactly.
