DIY Welding Table Clamps??

I think you might like these. They are the AUTO type... they adjust to size automatically, what you control with a screw is the pressure, which stays consistent no matter what size. Much more enjoyable.
You'll need to fit your own rod for your table.

I bought these when Bessey was selling them , then I found out that Bessey was putting their label on it, and the license ran out, and Armor took them back. I have the long reach Woodworking version, fantastic, no need to adjust for size. I highly recommend the brand.

Fantastic clamps I actually just bought 6 more on Black Friday. Walmart had 10” pairs with padded jaws for 15 dollars. I bought all they had in stock. I had lock jaw brand which is now made by Hanson. My go to clamps.
Menards sells a heavy duty 12” F clamp. Make plugs to weld to the end nice job that saves a lot of money.

Hey all,
I see Bessy has them for $63 each!! for a 6" capacity clamp.I'm just looking for ideas as I don't want to spend a ton on welding table clamps.
The holes are 5/8" (16mm).

I made some bessey style welding table clamps from HF bar clamps. Removed one end of the clamp and slotted a 1“ piece of 16mm rod stock to fit the bar and then welded it on.

Here the YouTube video that I used.

I went to the new Paso Robles HF and that whole rack where those clamps are at was all wiped except for one 6” like the vid and several of 24”. Guy said they are always sold out

I've found for many orders, HF has $6.99 shipping (appears almost to be flat rate). So, I'll wait and bundle orders, now that my office is no longer close to a HF.
