Deer stand

There was a 12 foot diameter section of silo on the property open to the sky. It was quite useless.
I had to move it 500 feet to where I wanted it and build a floor on top with a roof overhead. It's in a
good spot for deer hunting so made a small openable window positioned where it needed to be.
The bottom part has lots of room with an entrance door so have been stacking firewood in there.
It will hold a lot of wood, up to seven cords if stacked full. Two hours in a deer stand in the
cold and snow in northern Minnesota last year was enough for me to seek a shelter that is cozy
and easily heated. Time will tell I guess. I have had deer in my garden plot so this will my chance
to even the odds.



There is a door on the back side making the top level accessible using a step ladder to get up there.

I am originally from - and still have hunting property in Aitkin, MN but live in the Twin Cities.
The 2023 hunting regs will be out in just a few days.

Very nice! Run some power to it or add a generator, you can hang out there when things get tense at home.
