Cutting aluminum sheet without a shear

I have cut aluminum sheet and thin (1/8" or less) aluminum bar stock on my table saw using a 80T carbide blade. I second the warning about kick-back; do not stand behind the cut - feed from the side if possible. Of course eye protection is a must, but hearing protection is also recommended.

use a metal cutting band saw and reverse the blade, works good on thin sheet metal

I have cut aluminum up to 1" thick on my Craftsman 10 inch saw with a carbide tooth blade many times with no problem. I have even cut up an aluminum framed semi with a skil saw, aluminum cuts just like wood, you just have to feed slower. Wear eye protectionand ear protection on thin stuff. I cut 1/4 inch on my band saw with the same blade I use for wood. It will kick if it catches, so like was mentioned on another post do not stand in line with the blade.
