Cut Aluminum Cylinder Head Air Cooled

Sawzall would make quick work of that. Drill holes at the corner of the zigzags to turn the blade.
 
Might look into how people cut the heads when making 1/3 Corvair engines for aircraft use (not as popular as 1/2 VW, but there are a few out there).

I had a half VW with Scat heads in a plane I used to own, was a nice running engine.
