Chinese 4 X 6 horizontal bandsaw question

I had run that through my head as well. I think I would still need to mill the other ears off after setting some kind of level off the table though, right?

The ears on the base would most likely need to be removed. It probably could be done with a hacksaw and grinder. My vision would be to make a plate with new ears attached to the plate and then the plate bolted to base of the saw. The plate could then be shimmed to bring the saw into true.
Just a thought. I am going to have to check my saw out today with a square.
