Checking Drill Bits for Straightness

I hate to tempt fate but the drills I have, one set bought at HF in the 80’s, has served me well. The problem has been the grinds. This is true with my cheap original end mill set also. I have a Starrett grinding gauge and using it to get my tips centered and sharp by hand seems to work great.
