Carbide cutoff tool purchase

Cannot tell the size of your larger parting blades but they look like they use a GTN-type insert. Those will cut almost anything when held rigidly in a holder. If the inserts are GTN-3 then a standard Aloris #71 will hold it. Cuts well but GTN inserts tend to be wide so I tend not to use them much.

The smaller one looks like a Thin-Bit type parting blade. Cannot tell if it is genuine or a knock off. Those are excellent parting tools for smaller diameters. Inserts are pricey, though.

As for the turning inserts, if you have the tool holders they are intended for then they are valuable. If you don't have the tool holders then they are useless to you. You can sell them on ebay if you can identify them.

Seriously, are you saying little to no value based on your Halloween comment?

If you have a bunch of inserts and cannot find holders for them, see if you can identify the insert type (by markings or by measurement) and then take a look at shars and see what an appropriate toolholder costs. It might be around twenty bucks, and the inserts would probably get you a buck or two each reselling them. Might as well put them to use if it's not too cost-prohibitive.

Toolholders can be made, if you don’t have one to fit. That’s what I did. It’s overhung and ugly, but it’s never failed me.

I will hold onto the carbide and add it to my collection. Maybe the tool(s) will show up on Craigslist someday.
