Hello all so I have a question.
So with a lot of my purchase going down the machinist rabbit hole it’s always extra stuff that comes along . Does anyone in MD have any experience with Cannons ??? Basically I have one that needs to be finished and I’ve been toying with the idea for a winter project.
Thanks
Darryl

What size are you talking about ? We did a lot of gun work for the Gubmint at AAI .

Ummm Not sure how they size them other then I can’t pick this one up !! Very heavy!!! I’ll get a pic

I am NO Cannon expert but I think there is more to build still with the barrel!! The one piece threads into the main body and then it has threads on the other end to to keep building !!

Looks like someone found some pieces of stock and made the barrel to fit the breech . Maybe possibly they were going to mount a silencer on the end ! :big grin: Bet that would launch a softball into outer space though . What's your plan with it ? .

I can only imagine what I would have to build to mount this thing too !!! All made from high carbon steel and extremely heavy !!!

Maybe he planned on making a threaded ring to mount the trunnions and extend the barrel ? Hard to say what HIS plans were .
