Can this old style digital micrometer be calibrated?

Lets see if this works, most of my Instructions are a multipage wee book about 40mm x 75mm, I knew I had a set that was a fold out page so here you go original Mitutoyo Combimike Instructions.

Thanks, Ian! Surprising (or maybe not?) that none of the YT videos used this method of setting the counter to a known value then adjusting the thimble to match.

I took the liberty of tweaking your scan to punch-up the contrast (opened in a PDF editor, exported to jpeg (2 pages), enhanced the jpeg's, brought back into the PDF editor to combine the 2 pages into a single PDF – took longer to type than the process itself). The edited version reads better on a screen, but is a little "furry" when printed.
