Buying advise on Birmingham CT 1440G Lathe

I've NEVER done anything like that , I'm innocent , I swear ! :rolleyes::grin:
 
I've had a Birmingham 13x40 lathe for about 10 years. It's been a great machine. Mine was made around 2002.
 
Don't obsess. There is always another machine. I've lost a few but also bought one and had a better cheaper one show up the next day. Keep watching and you will be rewarded. Taiwan 1440 machines were made by the millions so one will show up. You might even find a Mori, Takisawa, Webb, Whatcheon, Cadillac, Summit, Yam, - you get the picture. Dave

I still have the PM1236 ordered... if I get a notification of arrival at PM, then I will stop the search :) . Not cancelling that order.

Now, for the larger mill that I want... not ordering anything. For that I will just look for something local and jump on it quickly. Already lost a good chance at a well equipped one...
